Meet the Team

David Holly is the primary contact for Alder Creek Solar as the development manager. David began his career practicing as a private sector environmental consultant in Florida and is a certified professional wetland scientist. David has provided consulting services including threatened and endangered species surveys, wetland and stream delineation, wetland mitigation analysis/solutions, and local, state, and federal environmental permitting strategy for all types of industry activities throughout the U.S., including utility and renewable projects. David joined Apex in 2021 and is thrilled to further the development of responsible renewable projects throughout the U.S. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies from University of Central Florida (UCF) and a Master of Science in Urban & Regional Planning from UCF.

Carmen O'Keefe works on the Alder Creek Solar team as a development manager. Carmen grew up in Newfane, New York, and began working with Apex in July 2015. She is thrilled to see the potential for progress on renewable energy in her home state. Carmen manages local project offices throughout New York and helps establish relationships with those communities. Carmen has a bachelor’s degree in commercial music from Greenville College and is musically active in Western New York.

Brian O’Shea began his career working on political campaigns in rural North Dakota and throughout Minnesota. After leaving the campaign trail in 2013, Brian moved to the private sector, where he worked as a consultant to numerous businesses, trade associations, nonprofits, and advocacy groups across the country on issues ranging from education policy to workforce development to renewable energy. After six years working in the consulting field on a wide range of projects, Brian was excited to join Apex Clean Energy as a public engagement manager in 2019. In this capacity, Brian works closely with development teams for wind and solar energy projects throughout the country, meeting with elected leaders, gathering local feedback, and working with communities to help accelerate America’s shift to clean energy.

Jessica Walsh is a development associate for the Alder Creek Solar project. Jessica began her career as an intern for Apex Clean Energy in December 2017 before being hired on full-time in November 2018. A graduate of the University at Buffalo with a bachelor’s degree in environmental geoscience, Jessica is eager to work closely with the public to promote renewable energy and community benefits in Boonville and Forestport.
